• Reconciled Sub-System to Commitment Control data, providing numerous data synchronization scripts.
• Fixed known PeopleSoft “bug” causing data issues for Canceled Requisitions.
• Developed and deployed Commitment Control Data Monitoring tool (Application Engine program) to identify and report known data anomaly scenarios. Tool includes online Dashboard and email notifications.
• Re-built Purchase Order Approval workflow (AWE) rules, using Application Package-based Criteria, to better-suit the County’s approval authorizations.
• Rewrote PO Contract Expiration email notification logic.

Results

Data synchronization has eliminated the duplicate data and reduced the manual efforts. The bugs are rectified and the productivity has been increased.

Challenges

• Due to ACA changes BCBSM needed to transform its legal structure to sell more products on the state exchange. They required a partner who has functional experience at reasonable rates.

Solutions

• PeopleSoft Financials SCM, SRM Tax Mutualization Project. Transforming BCBSM to a tax withholding and remitting agency including system configuration, training, supplier outreach, testing and development services.

Results

Rolled out the initiative effectively on schedule at 25% reduction in prior vendor forecast.

Challenges

• As the system grew it became somewhat unmanageable and the company experienced a decline in the software’s performance.

Solutions

• In order to address these concerns, Research Now collaborated with Noblesoft. We are an Oracle Gold Partner and deep knowledge and experience in Oracle Technology. Through our consulting and support services, Research Now finally gained the assistance they needed to enhance the system’s performance and fully experience the benefits that the application suite was meant to offer. We identified several opportunities to enhance their client’s ERP performance including performance patches, code enhancements, proactive storage allocation, and an aggressive statistics gathering strategy which would also be used to make the appropriate changes.

Results

Today Research Now subscribes to our OnDemand DBA Service for the continuous monitoring, maintenance, and management of their database environment. They benefit from the high-quality, experienced administrators that we provide with 24×7 support on Production and 12×7 support on non-Production needs, including Disaster Recovery.

• We worked with state representatives to establish focus areas and goals for the state’s IT enterprise over the next six years. We focused on key areas to provide near, mid and long-term objectives as follows:
• Mobility: Worked to bring work groups together from various geographical locations to solve problems by eliminating traditional work practices.
• Citizen Access to Service: Derived plan to change the citizens and companies to conduct a larger percentage of business online. And provided recommendations to the State to achieve the goals of providing extended services.
• Innovation: Established collective goals to work with Agencies to leverage existing technology in changing their business models and processes.

Created flexibility for work groups to perform their duties without office constraints. Experiencing greater access to government services during extended hours while using a more diverse mix of devices.

• After investigating and evaluating several solutions Noblesoft helped design a SharePoint™ solution to provide a secure, robust and easy to use solution for accessing all the updated documents anytime and anywhere.
• Noblesoft provided architectural guidance to their IT Team on how to configure their SharePoint environment, establish and maintain their organizational classification, and created an information architecture and design that allowed for intuitive navigation. The site was built on SharePoint™ 2010.

Results

Enhanced the practice of distributing up-to-date documents to council members. Reduced cost, manpower efforts and time with increased process performance and efficiency. Created secure document repository.

Installed and configured Microsoft SharePoint Portal. Created branding and rich look & feel of the site. Created custom Microsoft Web parts to incorporate. Defined of company’s process and measurements. Display of measurements results.

Challenges

• Gathering requirements for this comprehensive web-based system by coordinating with several departments was a significant challenge because the resources were unfamiliar with the process and were unsure of what they needed.

• Noblesoft team was engaged to work with the client project manager to solicit and capture business requirements, document activity diagrams and establish detailed use cases that would be consumed for development. Our work was so thorough we were asked to perform subsequent project release and features.

Results

Captured every detail of the project and provided fit-gap analysis of the proposed solutions. Educated every resource on the need for a system and our analysis has given a clear picture on the needs.
